Hi all,
We have a customer who installed Symantec Data Security Agent (Symantec DCS) on Exchange 2013 servers, after that we have issues in passive mailbox database copies not updated form active database copy, we confirm this by seeing the Copy Queue Length with high value and status of those databases are "failed". Also we see the below event getting logged:
After we remove that agent replication is fine for mailbox databases. We asked Symantec vendor to configure exclusion but they advised that this is not an antivirus, it is just collecting security information and other staff from server, they advised to make a testing environment for AD and Exchange to install their agent there and confirm the issue is not from their agent but for Exchange as they say they never come across such issue when their agent is installed on Exchange.
A testing environment was configured and DCS agent installed there, since a week there is no issues in mailbox databases replication so how can we troubleshoot what is causing issues in production environment once the Symantec DCs agent is installed there?
Note: There is no antivirus installed on production Exchange environment.
