I'm running this config
Server01: Server 2012 Standard + Exchange 2013 Standard (MBX+CAS)
Server02: Server 2012 Standard + Exchange 2013 Standard (MBX+CAS)
DAG Enable
I was wondering the best way to protect the Servers, DPM 2012 i Installed.
but what happens if we say One server goes down and I want to restore the server, what is the best way to handle this? because there is a couple of ways to restore a Server.
And I was wondering about a Total IMG Backup of the Server. When having a DAG with 2 servers or more, a IMG Backup of the whole server isn't a good idea right? becauase of the Time/Date and Sync between the two DAG members?
And If one server goes down, do I have to "Delete" the DAG Configuration and reset the Computer account of the server in AD and setup Exchange again on the server and make a new DAG configuration?
I'm not a DPM or Backup Expert, So I'm wondering if the Backup should be on the Passive Copies or not?
