We have a three member DAG that we will be migrating to from Exchange 2007.
We currently do not have circular logging (CRCL) enabled for the databases in the DAG. We are using DPM 2012 R2 to take full backups of each database each night at midnight.
Looking at the log directories for my databases shows that DPM is truncating the logs at the full backup interval (no logs older than 1-2 days in the database log directory).
Is there anything to be gained by activating CRCL in the DAG or should I just leave well enough alone and let DPM do its thing and truncate the logs?
Looking for a a best practice for this setup with DAG, DPM, and CRCL together. Finding information on any two of the items together has not been difficult but all three has been a bit of a trick.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
