Hello,
I would like to get know, if is supported by Microsoft, if we need and we want to do following.
We have a MS Exchange server with two local disks and two disks from data storage.
Local disk - c: (operating system WS2K8 R2 SP1)
Local disk - d: (instalation of MS Exchange 2010 SP2 and transaction logs)
data storage - e:(DBs of MS exchange)
data storage - i: (will be new disk with letter d: a should be new home of MS Exchange installation folder and transaction logs)
I tested:
I dismount all databases to clean shutdown state.
I stoped all MS Exchange services.
I used tool robocopy with parameters /e /sec and I performed copy of MS Exchange folder from d: to i:
I change letter on disk d: to different letter and a change name of disk.
I changed letter on disk i: to disk letter d: and change name of disk
I restarted MS Exchange server and after restart MS Exchange worked without errors.
I would like to know if this is supported solution, I can do it by backup system, but I am think that is same, but it will take more time.
Thank you
