I'm trying to add another copy of database on another server but I'm receiving the following error:

Dear All,

We have 4 exchange Server In production. Below are the details

MBX1- Mailbox 

MBX2- Mailbox

CAS1- CAS Server

CAS2- CAS Server

DR Environment

MBX3

CAS3

DAg configured in DAC mode as DAG only

All Database copies were healthy

We activated the DB copies on Dr site 

Shifted the Client Traffic to DR 

All above was working

Now from windows cluster when i make DR DAG ip online M mail flow stops , infact internal mail doesnt work

I just want to confirm , will mailk flow work in above scenario or I have to follow proper DR switch over prcess like

Stop cluster Service

STOP DAG

restore DAG

  Hi Team,

   I am having exchange 2013 cu21 with cas and mailbox servers in separate VM. I am have build the dag and it is working fine.

I would like to know how to extend my dag to other location (DR site) with P2P link. The P2P is not dedicated for Exchange it will used for other servers too.

My Question 

1) How to configure extend my DAG to DR site, I have separate cas & mailbox server running at DR .Let me know how to configure it.

2) Current my 350 mailbox database size is not more 500gb. I would like to know how to calculate the how much bandwidth required.

3) I have been asked the servers should come up seamless in case of disaster at DR, is there any document.

Please help me with my issue in DAG.

I can't bring back to online the DAG. Please see screenshot for the reference.

When i enabled the "Allow clients to connect through this network" settings, it can't change after I apply and when I checked the settings it is disabled. Please see screenshot for the reference.

Hi -I built a test environment that has my AD and member servers up and running.

I brought an Exchange DAG member VM into the test environment without the other DAG member or witness server. The DAG member in the test environment is normally passive and the other DAG member (not existing in the test environment) is normally active.

I have tried:

1)Activating the Database on the VM (fails)

2) Server Switchover in the console (fails)

2) creating a new witness server with the Set-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup command (will not occur without the normally active )

3) Deleting the normally active server from the DAG (does not work)

4) Deleting the DAG (does not work without the other member)

5)Force mounting the database while ignoring errors - Fails

Is there a simple way I can get this DAG member server to work without the other DAG member or witness?

i used the below commend to delete specific email sent from HR by error to all staff

the command filer not work properly and deleted 10000 mailboxes from all users which has critical data

two questions here

1. how to recover these mails (no old backups available)

2. what is the error in the query so that it retried items out of its scope

If we have 2 site + 2CAS and 2MBX exchange 2013 and same domain and single namespace .

Can we Use DNS round robin to failover when there have a CAS down? To keep outlook client connectivity?

 Point A record to four CAS and outlook client will auto retry when one exchange server down? It should be work for exchange 2013 right?

Background: We were re-balancing our Exchange Databases, and performing a migration to new Databases on Exchange 2013. All of the Migrations, except for one completed fine, one completed with errors.

Issue: One Mailbox in the the Migration Batch that completed with errors is reporting the following error:

"Error:MigrationPermanentException: Error: Cannot read named property data with key = ‎'null‎'"

I found the following article that talks about this error, but with no detail:

I have tried to remove the mailbox from the Migration Batch, but get the following error:

"The user user@email.com couldn't be removed from the migration batch "MBXDB7" in its current state. Please stop the batch and then try to remove the user"

I have tried to stop the migration batch, but get "The Migration Batch can't be stopped in its current state.

Before moving forward, I attempted to take a backup PST file of the user's mailbox, and that export to PST failed.

I have opened the Migration Report for the user, and here is what is inside:

I have tried searching on this Fatal Error, and have come up with nothing. Contemplating opening a case with Microsoft Support, but hoping for some ideas first.

We increased memory and cpu in our mailbox server (VMWare).After reboot copyQueue length is high.

We have 3 VM Exchange servers (2013). HyperV is 2012 R2.  Before I patched the servers I created checkpoints. New to using checkpoints.  I put the servers in maintenance mode, shut the server down, then create the checkpoints. I read that checkpoints should not be kept longer than 3 days. 1 week at the most. My question to remove the checkpoint from anExchange Server:   Should I put the server in maintenance mode first, shut the server down and then remove the checkpoint?

I'm having the below error message on my event log. At the same time, when i run the Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus command, the Status is in healthy state, but the ContentIndexing status isFailed. I have 10 databases and the above case is for all databases.

In addition, the following is also show;
