Hello everybody,
I have a problem with Exchange 2013.
I have the following topology:
I just created the DAG and add the MBX01 server without problem. Then i added the MBX02 server successfully. Then when i validate the services the Cluster Service in MBX02 appear disabled and can't start.
When i try the service, respond with the following error:

Description:
The Cluster service cannot be started. An attempt to read configuration data from the Windows registry failed with error '2'. Please use the Failover Cluster Management snap-in to ensure that this machine is a member of a cluster. If you intend to add this
machine to an existing cluster use the Add Node Wizard. Alternatively, if this machine has been configured as a member of a cluster, it will be necessary to restore the missing configuration data that is necessary for the Cluster Service to identify that it
is a member of a cluster. Perform a System State Restore of this machine in order to restore the configuration data.

Hi guys.
Deleted AD object, and restored it from AD trash, after that users mailbox is unavailable.
If the user wants to connect to owa it gets:
NegotiateSecurityContext failed with for host 'exchange2013' with status 'LogonDenied'
any help would be more then appreticiated

Hi guys.
Exchange 2013, Outlook 2013 users.
We have unfortunatelly deleted AD object and forcely deleted mailbox on Exchange2013.
We had managed to restore AD object from AD trash, but getting mailbox back on Exchange2013 after several different attempts did not succeded so we have created a new mailbox for this user.
Now we have situation that every user inside Exchange organization is unable to sent a message to this particular deleted mailbox.
Now, the workaround that users are doing is that in Outlook when they start typing this deleted mailbox email address they click on X, so that the cached email address in deleted in Outlook, and after that when they manually retype the email address they can deliver this message.
How can solve this globally to all the users in our Exchange organization?
We would like to avoid that 200 users in Exchange organization need to use this workaround to delete from cache a deleted mailbox email address, and retype actually the same email address.
We thought that somehow Exchange and Active Directory would sync the newly created mailbox (email address for this user stayed the same), and push it to GAL or sth like that.
Any hints?
With best regards

Hi All,
I need some of your Advice and help regarding my plan with Exchange server 2013 Environment.
at the moment I have two Exchange server 2013 and both Exchange servers are Virtual machine on HP Blade server.
and because of some high availability reason i would like to have another new Exchange server outside of the Blade environment.
I am thinking if i can have 3rd exchange server on dedicated Physical host and this is the resources new Physical host has.
Physical Server (Only Exchange 2013) Memory : 48 GB DDR3 CPU: intel xeon cpu e5-2620 2ghz (Logical Processor :12) Storage: 2 TB SYStem Drive. Other existing Virtual Exchange server details:
Virtual Exchange server Memory : 24GB CPU: AMD Opteron (TM) Processor 6176 Storage: System Drive (300GB) , DATABASE Drive(3.63 TB)
Networking interface The Physical server has 4 , 1G interface and i have bound them all together with within NIC teaming and Has 4G interface to physical server.
Virtual server are Part of Blade server and theoretically all the Host has 10 GB connection to the Network switch. but one host has many Other VM as well.
I hope you can understand what i want to explain here.
I have some questions.
Thank you so much in advance for any Comment.
Hi
I have two Mailbox servers in the Primary Data Center. I have another two mailboxes in a DR site. I want to add the two DR Mailboxes to the DAG that already contains Mailbox 1 and 2 in the primary site. So now all 4 servers are in the same stretched DAG.
My question now is, if i want to prevent brain split syndrome by activating DAC on the DAG, will i still have automatic failover from Mailbox 1 to 2 in the primary data center?
In other words I only want automatic fail over from mailbox 1 to 2 in the primary and manually switch over to Mail box 4 and 5 in DR. Is this possible if DAC is activated on this DAG?
Thanks
Hi
I currently have 2 CAS servers in the Primary DC and 2 in the DR site.
Each site has its own Load balance.
What I want to do in the case of a DR situation is manually direct all my clients to the CAS servers in the DR site with all URL's remaining the same for OWA and autodisocver etc..
At the same time the DR site should not accept any connections from the users while the primary site is up. The DR is basically standing by.
What is the best way to implement this design? and what would i need to do to switch to CAS servers in DR?
Thanks

The Microsoft Exchange Search service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 5000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
It was noticed a few days ago that the Search for users wasn't working. So I started to dig into search indexing and found that the ContentIndexState for all five DBs were Failed. So after doing some digging I decided to rebuild the index for each
Initially I thought that was fixing the problem. The ContentIndexState was now Crawling. The Server's RAM and CPU climed, but I figured that was normal as it was rebuilding the search index for all DBs and the smallest original index folder was 6GB and the largest was 400GB.
So I left for the day and checked back on the server this morning. The new index folders were only 152MB - 368MB in size and the server was still chugging away. A bit slower than expected - but no big deal. A few hours later I noticed that the index folders were even smaller than when I first checked today. I've been checking the folder sizes periodically all day and they go up, down, stay the same, but none ever get quite to even just 400MB. I checked the status and some times the ContentIndexState is Failed or all five and other times they're all Crawling.
So I've moved into the event logs and I see that the Search service is starting and stopping 2-3 times every minute. My conclusion is that the service is restarting constantly and thusly the indexing/crawling is constantly starting over. I can't find any actual errors to explain why it keeps restarting and starting over a few times every minute.
Whenever I search for assistance online everything keeps telling me to rebuild the indexes - but that's what started this issue. Before I performed the steps to rebuild the indexes the service itself was remaining started. The server has been rebooted but that changed nothing. SOS! Mayday! help?
Hello
Current I have 6 Server mailbox for DC site , now I want Install 3 Server for DR site

Hi
I just have created recovery database to recover some mail but power shell is asking me to restart Exchange information store. Two mailbox servers are in DAG and some databases are on server 1 and some on server 2.
Recovery database will be only worked on server 1 no need to replicate it, But if I restart information store will databases disconnect since i have some databases on server 1 and some on server 2 and they are replicating through DAG.
does that mean that I have to activate all databases on server 2 and then stop replication then restart information store on server 1 and then bring everything back.

We have two exchange 2013 servers setup in a DAG environment. we are not receiving some of the emails and when we checked the delivery report it shows the status as pending. we checked the queue in both the servers and it shows 0 emails in the queue.we don't know where the emails went if it has not been delivered and are in Pending status. Please help so we can retrieve the pending emails. Please check the below report.

We have a 4 node DAG with 2 nodes in production and 2 nodes in DR. Also 2 CAS servers in each site. As part of some datacenter work we have to shutdown the DR servers. FSW is in the production site. DAC mode is enabled. What is the correct order for shutdown of servers? Do we need to suspend replication or start maintenance mode on the DR DAG servers?

I tried:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Bin\eseutil.exe" /mh "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\DB0\DB0.edb"and no luck
We are running Hosted Exchange 2013 (Mailbox + CAS Server - CU13).
Two Database: One is 600GB and other is 33GB. Both database is healthy and index is also healthy.
Two NIC: One is public IP and other is private IP. Public IP is used for OWA and Outlook Anywhere.
Now We would like to create the DAG for disaster recover or fail over Cluster (like primary mailbox/server is down, we will activate 2nd server) I installed the 2nd Exchange server with same configuration (Two NIC's, one public and other is private).
I install the separate server for witness server (One NIC private). I didn't include 3rd NIC for replication. I believe private NIC will work for us.
DAG has been configured and database2 (33GB) is copy successfully on 2nd Server but I notice that data transmission on WAN network (Public IP) instead of LAN network (Private IP). I assign Public Adapter first and then Private Adapter under “Adapters and Bindings”.
When I start the copy database (first database size 600GB), it failed and receive below error:
The seeding operation failed. Error: An error occurred while performing the seed operation. Error: Communication was terminated by server 'GTE13: Data could not be read because the communication channel was closed. [Database: Mailbox Database 2087209, GTE13V2.domain]
I am new in DAG/Cluster environment so I am really confused about this behavior. Please help me so resolve this issue. I share all the information.

Exchange servers have same version and install same windows updates on both server.

Hi Everyone,
I have been facing an issue on the mai lflow to the External world after the point public IP to the CAS WNLB IP. I do have 2 CAS server configure WNLB with below configuration
Server Name | Production IP | NLB IP |
CAS01 | 192.168.10.1/24 | 192.168.10.3/24 |
CAS02 | 192.168.10.2/24 | 192.168.10.4/24 |
Floating IP is 192.168.10.10/24
To make sure email flow through the CAS server I have enabled "Proxy through Client Access Server" on Send Connector. If I point my Public IP to any of CAS Production IP, it works good but with NLB floating IP I am not able to send it to External world. But from External world I can receive an email easily.
Request for your help on this regard.
Exchange 2013 cu10, 1 DAG, 2 MB and 2 CAS
my mailbox server, MB01, develop a disk problem in drive C: and it has been decided it'll be better, and a lot faster to recover, to reinstall it. i have already reinstalled a CAS server so i'm wondering if reinstalling a mailbox server is the same?
the mailbox databases are fine and mounted in the remaining MB02. the drives that MB01 uses for the mailbox databases are also fine. only drive C: have a problem.
regards,
Hey Exchange experts, I am trying to get rid of some error and warning events in the event log of one of my DB/CAS servers. I inherited Exchange, and I am trying to do some cleanup.
The RDBTest database is a recovery database that is causing the below errors. I did not create this, and I assume the previous Exchange admin simply left it behind. Inside the database are a few test mailboxes and the exchange admin’s mailbox.
Here is my question: Is it safe to simply perform a remove mailbox database, even with these errors? And if I do, will these errors go away?
Here is the set of Errors:

1.Right now we have 4 Servers when we look into Exchange Admin Center.
Now i want to make one more CAS server. Can i do that ?
2. From mailtracinglog can we find how incoming mail routes and where it saves . ?
Why i am asking this question - Right now we have 4 CAS servers and 4 Mailbox servers. 8 databases. 2 active CAS/Mailbox and 2 passive CAS/Mailbox.
Last week when we stop passive server then many users got interceptions. That's why we are thinking that we need route to know why users got affected by passive servers.
Hello,
I just had a raidcard failure and the database got corrupt ( jet -1018 error ). Backups are in place since last night and i have all log files ( from backup and the ones created today )
What is the best way to approach the restore. Put all logfiles in the same folder and replay? Googled but could not really find anything good about it.
